One of the easiest ways to improve your overall encounter is to start it off on the right foot…
The following tips will help ensure that you do just that!
Tip 1. Smile as soon as you open the door (a smile can put the SP in a better mood)
Tip 2. Make eye contact as soon as you open the door (this can help build a connection)
Tip 3. Refer to the SP as ‘Mr’, ‘Ms’, or ‘Mrs’ (this shows that you respect them)
Tip 4. Shake the SP’s hand (this can build trust and likability)
Tip 5. Ask the SP if they’re comfortable (this shows the SP that you care)
All of these tips are simple and easy to implement, and take no more than 5-10 seconds to do. Implementing these tips into your introduction is an investment in your case, and is well worth the small amount of effort.
